1926-2016 “WORKS OF MERCY – VISION OF HOPE”
At SAS we are preparing for a special celebration of our 100th Anniversary and we would love to get in touch with you! This is your home, our school!
In 2016 we celebrated 90 years of service to our community! The charism of the founding sisters, the Daughters of Mary and Joseph (DMJs) is very much alive and continues to permeate our faith, instruction and school community every day. Our theme for the 90th Anniversary celebration was “Works of Mercy, Vision of Hope”. At SAS, a strong faith and rigorous expectations for every student remain part of our commitment and school mission, which drives academic excellence for our 21st Century learners. Four alumnae are among our amazing team of educators, who dedicate their lives to our students’ success.
We are reconnecting with you and nearly 3,000 other SAS alumni this year in preparation of our big anniversary! Community leaders, parents, teachers and students collaborate strategically to address the needs of our students, and shape the vision for our school. Our school culture embraces digital learning, service learning and responsible leadership for our children. As a member of the Archdiocesan I3 Innovation Institute, we integrated global competencies in our curricular design. Our Licensed Preschool program (2 yrs+) ensures access to a Catholic Early Childhood Program with four years of consecutive learning for our youngest students. Our Facilities Committee presented a Master Plan for SAS in January 2016, at the opening of the 90th Anniversary celebration. With the onset of the COVID19 pandemic in March 2020, this and other wonderful ideas came unfortunately to a halt!
